# Earthbending

Earth is the element of substance. The key to Earthbending is waiting and listening for the right moment to strike and, when that moment comes, acting decisively. In other words, Earthbenders generally endure the attacks of their enemies until the perfect opportunity for a counter-attack reveals itself.

**Stability and Power**

Earthbenders are the most grounded of all benders. Their strength lies in their connection to the earth beneath their feet. They excel at creating fortifications, altering the terrain, and using overwhelming force to crush their opponents.

**The Philosophy of Neutral Jing**

* Patience: An Earthbender does not rush into battle; they wait for the opponent to make the first move.
* Firmness: Their defense is practically impenetrable, allowing them to stand their ground against even the most violent attacks.

**Getting Started**

To use your abilities, you must bind them to a slot on your hotbar using the command: `/b bind [skill]` Detailed instructions for each ability can be found below.

#### Versatility and Environment

An Earthbender specializes in manipulating the very ground beneath them. Any land-based environment is the perfect battlefield for an Earthbender. They use the earth for protection (by creating armor and walls), mobility (by launching themselves), as well as digging, blasting terrain, and manipulating other players. Advanced masters can even learn the art of Metalbending.

**Balanced Combat**

The arsenal of an Earthbender is similar to that of a Waterbender in the sense that it offers a perfect mix of defensive and offensive techniques.

* Defense: Create instant fortifications and reinforced armor.
* Offense: Use the environment as a projectile or trap enemies within the ground.
* Utility: Rapidly excavate tunnels or sense enemies through vibrations in the floor.

## Passives

**DensityShift**

Earthbenders have a unique connection to the ground. This passive allows them to land safely on any earth-bendable blocks (such as Dirt, Stone, Sand, or Gravel). Upon landing on these surfaces, the bender takes no fall damage.

**FerroControl (Metalbending)**

A passive trait for those who have mastered the sub-element of Metal. This allows the bender to interact with metal objects (like iron doors or trapdoors) simply by Left-Clicking them, even without a key or lever.
