# Chiblocking

Chiblocking is an ancient technique that has been practiced in secret for centuries. By striking specific pressure points, a Chiblocker renders the victim's muscles useless and temporarily disables a bender's connection to their element.

**The Art of the Strike**

Chiblockers specialize in hand-to-hand combat. Elite practitioners can use their strikes to completely block a player's ability to bend for a short duration. While they lack the elemental range of benders, their precision makes them one of the most feared disciplines in close-quarters combat.

**Agility and Speed**

Chiblockers are natural acrobats. They are built for movement and rapid strikes:

* Mobility: They run faster and jump higher than any discipline except for Airbending.
* Fall Resistance: Due to their acrobatic training, they take significantly less fall damage.
* Physical Power: Their unarmed strikes deal more damage than those of ordinary players or benders.

**Vulnerability**

Because Chiblocking relies entirely on physical contact and agility, practitioners have very few defensive abilities. A Chiblocker must be careful; if they are caught out in the open or immobilized, they are highly vulnerable to elemental attacks.

**Getting Started**

To use your abilities, you must bind them to a slot on your hotbar using the command: `/b bind [skill]` Detailed instructions for each ability can be found below.

### Passives

**WallRun**

Defy gravity by running along vertical surfaces.

* How to use: Sprint toward a wall and jump against it.
* Effect: You can run along the wall for up to 20 seconds. This is a vital tool for navigating urban environments or escaping benders.

**Acrobatics**

A Chiblocker's body is their greatest weapon.

* High Jump: Automatically jump significantly higher than normal players.
* Fast Running: Move at a much higher base speed.
* Fall Reduction: Take significantly less fall damage when hitting the ground.

### Active Abilities

**Backstab**

Deliver a devastating blow to your opponent's pressure points from behind.

* How to use: Strike an enemy from behind (within a 90° angle).
* Effect: Deals massive damage ($$ $6.0$ $$) and temporarily blocks the target's Chi.
* Note: This ability has a long cooldown, so make your strike count!

**DaggerThrow**

Use your precision to launch projectiles in rapid succession.

* How to use: Left-Click while having arrows in your inventory.
* Effect: Fires up to 6 "daggers" (arrows) at your target.
* Special: These projectiles can disrupt elemental abilities like WaterSpout and AirSpout on impact.

**Paralyze (Core)**

The signature move of a Chiblocker.

* How to use: Left-Click (Punch) an opponent.
* Effect: Briefly freezes the target's movement and prevents them from using any bending abilities.

**RapidPunch (Core)**

Unleash a flurry of strikes in a split second.

* How to use: Left-Click rapidly at an opponent.
* Effect: Each hit deals damage and has a high chance of blocking the target's Chi.

**Smokescreen (Core)**

The perfect tool for an escape or a surprise attack.

* How to use: Left-Click to throw a smoke bomb at your feet.
* Effect: Creates a cloud of smoke that blinds nearby enemies, allowing you to disappear or reposition.

**QuickStrike (Core)**

A lunging attack to close the distance.

* How to use: Left-Click while sprinting toward a target.
* Effect: Grants a small dash and deals increased damage upon contact.
